The War of the Crescent Sun (novelette, 2024)

After watching too many alien invasion movies, this is my attempt at injecting some realism into the genre. What do the aliens really want to achieve? Are they angels, or devils? Does the human race really have any way to fight back? Or might it be that human survival depends upon our collaborating with the aliens?

Astronomer Ken Quarksmith and his nurse Anita must grapple with these questions, together with Ken’s scientific colleagues, through the global disaster of the Crescent Sun. (35,500 words)
